“Works Of Beijing Are Full Of Love And Vigor”

The re-evaluation of social works of “Chinese Famous Artists Paint Beijing” Theme Creation Exhibition began on Mar.27. The Exhibition was held by Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Beijing Artists Association. 61 oil painting and 52 traditional Chinese painting original works from more than 200 professional artists and amateur painters were hanged all over the exhibition hall. After eight experts’ evaluation, 33 oil paintings and 21 traditional Chinese paintings were shortlisted.
The general quality of the entries were beyond many judges’ expectation. Dean of College of Chinese Oil Painting, a member of the jury Yang Feiyun declaimed, “The quantity of works is not large, but I still feel a strong impact. I can see the artists love Beijing very much and their expressions are full of vigor.” When he stepped into the exhibition hall.
Yang Feiyun watched No.7 work for quite a while and solemnly ticked on the form. “The painting has captured the flavor and conception of spring when blossoming just begins in northern villages. The artist treats very well on the sense of rhythm. ” Next to No.7, No.30, No.31, No.32 are obviously from the same artist. Vice-President of Beijing Academy of Painting Lei Bo said,“although there are only few large clumps of colors, the artist has summarized and refined very well form the natural objects.”
There are also excellent traditional Chinese paintings. The most favored by judges was No.27 which presented the interior of “Bird Nest” national stadium. Li Yaolin made a comment ,“The light and shadow effect and modern sense of the building are easily created only with white, black and grey by the techniques of traditional ink painting.”
No.46 traditional Chinese painting was also praised by all. The painting depicts the traffic at Beijing streets. The artist presents part of the famous painting Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival on the convex mirror at the street and breaks through the limitations of time and space.
At last, No.33 and No.21 traditional Chinese paintings entered the final.
